TRIP TO ROME
The photo series was taken in 2012 on a trip to Rome. I was there for 4 days and could not escape the fascination of the city. Equipped with a modest Canon 550d and the Canon 10-14mm wide angle, a series of pictures were taken, all of which were shot out of the hand without any special precautions.
It doesn't matter what time of year you visit Rome, what never disappears are thousands of tourist sites, of which I was one.
After my return, I was a little disappointed by this fact, because there is no picture on which people would not have been. I then retouched the people in Photoshop with a few pictures, for example at the Colloseum:

But the effort is enormous.
Today - in the meantime 5 years have passed - I have developed a slightly different relationship to photography. More specifically for this kind of photography. Because it's not about showing perfect pictures. Rather, it is my intention to develop a feeling for the city. This feeling is made up of people, old buildings, ruins, warmth, Mediterranean flair and the fact that I am one of many people who, like each of these many, see me as one of many.
